Yamaha Compensating Euphoniums permit the most subtle nuances of dynamics and tonal inflection. The compensating system ensures the player superior control over intonation. The hand-hammered, yellow-brass bell features an advanced taper design for maximum projection and dark tonal color. The non-corrosive, gold-brass leadpipe also has a taper design that allows greater control and response. All slide tubing is nickel-silver for improved tone and is corrosion resistant.

A main-tuning slide trigger system has been added to Yamaha’s flagship YEP-842S euphonium offering enhanced, precise pitch control. The new trigger system has been tested for extreme durability to withstand the toughest action. Also, the additional weight of the trigger system helps to achieve a greater depth of tone and clarity of articulation.
